Rocking with bold prints

Rock the Cloth

with Angelie Martin-Spencer & Arlene Martin

Flora, fauna, retro, and animal, these are just a few of the prints that are making a wave this Spring...tribal, ethnic, graphic, just to name a few more.

Yes, bold prints are a hot trend this year as well, in addition to bold colours on one hand and muted tones on the other.

The bold geometry on this tunic shows yet another type of print

Don't take our word for it; just ask Cavalli, Mizrahi, Prada and Givenchy, a few of the prominent designers who are gung-ho over prints this season.

Mix them, match them or wear them alone, prints are a definite must-have for your wardrobe this year and when you Rock the Cloth you can wear as much of it as you want.

Stores like Pablo's and Ping's keep putting out fabulous fashion prints all the time, so keep your eyes open for any print that grabs you.

Today we're showing you three different prints, in knit, lycra and cotton voile, made in three different silhouettes for casual, cocktail or corporate looks, and all three are fairly simple to make, the simplest being the strapless maxi.

For this you will:

1. Cut front and back

2. Cut facing

3. Join the dress at sides and the facing to the dress, right sides together at bustline

4. Insert elastic

5. Finish edges/seams

6. And hem
